2012 NABA Champion Cubs

The Cubbies are now three-peat Champions of the 18+ NABA Wood Bat League and have officially solidified their NABA dynasty of domination. Even though we have lost several members of last year's championship team to retirement the Cubbies Family continues to grow in members and size. Jacob and Emily are now five years old, and Jessica(taking the picture) and Alyssa(Daughter of Paul and Jessica)-were welcomed into the Cubbies family in may through marriage. Chuck Jacobs and his wife also welcomed a new addition to their family in the offseason. John "Captain" Morgan returned from a one year hiatus after asking to be traded back to the Cubbies from the Orioles.

The Heart of the Cubbies-Right to Left/oldest to youngest: Zach Sova, Tim Sova, Paul Sova, and Rich Sova-have being playing hardball together since Tim Sova started the team in 2004. They are the only four from the original Cubbies squad still playing for the team.

Jacob and Emily are now 3 years old and are really in the photograph this time. Madelyn-my brother Tim's 3rd child-the new Sova addition to the Cubbies family and Jeff Finucane's first daughter-also born this season-as well as long time Cubbie Greg Macumber(at Watkins Glenn)will be photoshoped in later...hahahaha.

Coach/Player(outfield/utility) Tim Sova-second born of the Sova brothers-when he played outfield for Division 1 University at Buffalo, now his profile picture on the official NABA Cubbies website.

Paul Sova(pitcher/shortstop)-Sova brother number three-in 2004 after being hit in the face by a pitcher trying to pick him off second base. His eye eventually swelled shut and the umpire would not allow him to continue to play. 

*Paul ended up in the hospital later that day and his four brothers failed to visit him there during his short stay.

Richard Sova(utility)-youngest of 5 Sova brothers-wearing the green socks he likes to wear for Cubbies games. Richard started filling in here and there when a player was needed because he was not yet 18. Once he turned 18 he joined his three older brothers in becoming a full-time Cubbie.

Ron Sova Jr.-fourth born of the Sova brothers-the Cubbies' biggest fan, 1/2 of Rons, and designer and creator of the Cubbies mascot(pictured right, below left, and below right) as well as the Cubbies annually coveted "Sweetest Ass of the Year Award" (pictured below mascot) designed after John "Captain" Morgan, 

the first Cubbie to win the award.

If she looks crazy, that's because she is! Believe me, you don't want to mess with this woman. Also known as "MADRE LOCA" this woman is responsible for bringing all 5 of the Sova boys-the 4 origional Cubbies and the designer and creator of the Cubbies Official Mascot-into the world! She is one of the Cubbies biggest fans, and is considered highly unstable and extremely dangerous!
